Photos, posts and ratings

Your photos, answers and words help the next traveller decide where to stop.

Adding photos

Add photos while adding a place, on its Photos page, or to a place already on the map: open its page, tap the three dots (More actions), then Add photos. If it has no photo yet, tap the empty picture at the top.

Before you pick photos, the app shows the Photo guidelines. Tap I understand, then Take a photo or Choose from gallery. For a place already on the map, tap Submit for review when you are done.

The guidelines ask for:

Where a photo was taken is removed from it, and every photo is checked before it appears.

Rating a place

  1. On a place's page, under How was it for you?, tap Rate this location.
  2. Say When did you stay?, or tap Skip.
  3. Answer the questions one at a time: most are Good, OK or Bad.

Stop lets you finish another time. Your answers go into the place's rating. An answer is shown with your name only if you add a note to it. The questions are only in English, so they show when your phone is set to English.

Writing a post

A note under a question goes with that answer when you tap Submit. At the end, Anything else? (optional) is for what the questions did not cover: tap Send.

When others see your post

Every post is checked, and waits a short while so it does not show exactly when you were there. Until then My posts in the menu shows Waiting for review or Approved, with Privacy delay beside it: tap that label to read what it means. The place's Recent activity lists the post under Yours โ€” not public yet. Once others can see it, it says Published.

A post that was declined is listed only under Declined in My posts, with the reason.

Changing or removing a post

In My posts, tap the three dots on a post, then Edit or Delete. An edited post is checked again; until then people see your earlier words. If an edit is declined, the post shows Edit declined under Declined in My posts, with the reason, and people keep seeing your earlier words. Edit it again to send new words for review, or delete it. Deleting a post removes the words; your answers stay.

Reporting a post

On a place's Recent activity, tap the three dots on someone else's post, then Report. Pick a reason, say what is wrong and tap Send report.
