How to use the RoamOver app. The app has the same articles: open the menu, then Help & feedback.

• Finding a place to stay

  The map shows places to stop near you, and a tap on any of them tells you what you need to know.

• Searching and filtering

  The filters show only the places that suit you, tonight, on your dates or any time.

• Adding a place

  Know a good place to stop that is not on the map? Add it, and once it is checked everyone can find it.

• Photos, posts and ratings

  Your photos, answers and words help the next traveller decide where to stop.

• When a place is wrong or closed

  If a place has changed, tell us from its page so the next traveller is not caught out.

• Saving places

  Tap the heart on a place to keep it in your favourites, ready to find again even with no signal.

• Nearby alerts

  After you stay at a place, Nearby alerts send you one reminder to rate it, so the next traveller knows what to expect.

• Using the app without signal

  RoamOver keeps the places you have looked at on your phone, so you can still find them with no signal.

• Your account

  Change your email or password, set your name and photo, see your stats and where you are logged in, or delete your account.

• Badges and levels

  Collect badges for what you do in the app, earn XP for it, and climb through twenty levels, each marked on your profile.

• Subscription

  A subscription lets you search the map by name and save favourites you can see offline.

• Sharing a place

  Send a place to someone as a link they can open with or without the app.
