Your account

Change your email or password, set your name and photo, see your stats and where you are logged in, or delete your account.

Your profile

Tap Menu, then Profile.

• Add photo or Change photo sets the picture other people see.
• Username is the name shown next to your posts and the places you add. You can change it once every 30 days.
• About you is a few words about yourself.
• Show my profile to others lets other people see your profile. While it is off, your posts and places show without your name.

Your stats

Tap Menu, then Profile, then Stats. It counts what you have done in the app: places you added, edits accepted, photos, questions answered, notes and posts, your stays (and in which nation), favourites and searches.

A stay counts once a little time has passed since the visit, so the number never shows the day you were somewhere. Your couldn't-stay and closure reports, favourites, searches and months subscribed are only for you.

With no signal, Stats shows the numbers it last loaded.

At the top of Profile, under your level, Badges shows the badges you have collected: see the Badges article.

Changing your email

1. On Profile, tap Email.
2. Enter the new address and your password, then tap Send code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code we email to the new address, then tap Confirm.

Until you enter the code, your email stays as it was. The map shows a reminder with Enter code, and Cancel change stops the change.

Your password

Tap Change password on Profile. If you have forgotten it, tap Forgot password? on the log-in screen and we email you a code to set a new one. Changing or resetting your password logs you out on your other devices.

Signed-in devices

Tap Menu, then App Settings, then Signed-in devices. It lists the phones your account is logged in on, and how many it may be logged in on at once. Tap Log out next to a device, or Log out all other devices.

If you log in on more devices than that, the device you used least recently is logged out. You may be asked first for a code we email you.

Deleting your account

1. On Profile, tap Delete account.
2. Enter your password and tap Delete my account.
3. Confirm. This cannot be undone.

Places you added stay in the app, without your name. If you pay for a subscription that renews, cancel it in Google Play first: deleting your account does not cancel it.
